[RAM] EKVE redeems RM1 bil Sukuk ahead of maturity

RAM Ratings has received confirmation that EKVE Sdn Bhd fully redeemed its outstanding RM1 bil Guaranteed Sukuk Murabahah Facility (the Sukuk) on 29 July 2025, ahead of the scheduled maturity date. 

Accelerated payment proceeds from the sukuk guarantors, Maybank Islamic Berhad and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (both rated AAA/Stable/P1), were utilised to support the early redemption. We have accordingly withdrawn the AAA(bg)/Stable rating of the Sukuk (last affirmed on 21 August 2024) and no longer have any rating obligation in respect of the redeemed facility.
